This guide explains why setting Default Division Names matters: it shows how HTML tokens (##, ----, ++++) automatically pull age, graduation year, or birth year into division labels so registrations stay accurate and consistent. It clarifies where to edit names for Boys, Girls, and CoEd, and highlights that some events use rank or color-based names or specific adult divisions (e.g., Over 50). Viewing the guide saves time and prevents naming errors across your scheduling system.

One of the first tasks you'll see when you access the Scheduling System and Division Setup is your Default Division Names.
-
This is what each of your divisions of an age group, graduation year, or birth year will be named. The symbols are the html code that pulls in a divisions U-Age, Graduation Year (usually only used in Lacrosse), or Birth Year. You may also manually update them even after default division names are set and divisions are set up.
The ## is html for the age.
The ---- is html for the graduation year.
The ++++ is html for the birth year.
There is a section for Boys, Girls, and CoEd.
Some events just uses first, second, third, other events do them by colors assigned to the competitive levels within their club or league. Some tournaments or leagues are adult only, so they'll have specific names for the division requests selected during registration, such as Over 50, Over 55, Over 60, etc., same for women and CoEd
